Got Virtual Site working OK, except themes weren't loading. Changed module weight to -1 (using the Utility module). Now the different themes for the virtual sites load fine, but the custom home pages, which were previously working, went away. Specifically, when you try to access them by their URLs, you get redirected to the default home page.

When I re-order the Virtual Site modules back to 0, the problem goes away, but of course the themes stop loading, too. Any idea on how to fix one or the other of these issues? Maybe a workaround is in order.

I thought about perhaps using ThemeKey module in combination, but haven't tried yet.

Never mind, it's still broken. I'd thought I'd made a little headway, but it's still an either/or proposition—either no default front page or no custom theme on non-views pages.

Guess I'm not going to get an answer on this, which is just as well as I've decided to use Domain Access module to facilitate this part of the project.
