For some reason I am unable to add meta tags to any taxonomy terms. I don't see a place to add meta tags when I create the term, but I can when I go back and edit the term. However, after making changes, it will not let me save the added meta tags.

Are you sure you are using branch 6.x-3?

I would also like to report this problem - in my case with 6.x-1.11. The meta tags I enter when editing a term are simply not saved so when I go back to edit the term again my default keywords/description are shown.

So easy. Are you sure? The problem is not only with setting metas on term creating stage. If read carefully you can notice TS says "but I can when I go back and edit the term. However, after making changes, it will not let me save the added meta tags."

Problem is that you cannot save and print metas for term pages using so called "recommended" release. I posted an issue with screamer here http://drupal.org/node/1191680
