I understand that the design of the module is to create a notification for any matching content type and event unless the user checks "Skip Notifications" (and has permission to do so). However, we have run into a situation where the opposite would be more useful. Specifically, to only create the notification if the user specifically checks a "Send Notification" checkbox.
I'm wondering if might be reasonable to add a setting in the Events preferences (/admin/messaging/notifications/events) to give the admin the ability to choose which option (Skip vs Send if checked) would be presented on the node form.
