I would like to maintain the Phonetic WordFilter module - http://drupal.org/project/phonetic

The current maintainer has agreed to grant me access. See http://drupal.org/node/652552

I have currently been working the Drupal community for a couple years now. Including support people in IRC/Forums, and running the local user group in my area. http://groups.drupal.org/australia

I have also had a few very minor patches contributed to core. See:
