[could have made this a feature request - but from a usability point of view, it's just a bug]

absolute font sizes (pt, px, ...) are bad. see http://www.useit.com/alertbox/20020819.html (Let Users Control Font Size (Alertbox Aug. 2002)) and http://diveintoaccessibility.org/day_26_using_relative_font_sizes.html (Day 26: Using relative font sizes - Dive Into Accessibility) for why.

admin.php, poll.module, goofy.theme, marvin.theme use absolute font-sizes. they shouldn't.

Have sent patches, but Dries isn't happy with the results on Opera 6 on Linux. Only local images are allowed.

There's no way we can fix this bug properly without accepting that if you have a bog-standard Linux system without proper truetype font support, things are going to look nasty as soon as you start playing with relative font sizes.

I told a lie in my last report. Only local images are allowed.
This has now hit CVS. Marking FIXED (yay!).

Verified FIXED for all the core themes (and even some contrib ones) using Opera 6-linux, Konqueror, Opera 7-win, IE6-win and Mozilla-win. No issues to report as a result of this (apart from the fact that in Konqueror fonts look a little small, but are still quite readable). Marking CLOSED.
