I am coming on board as a co-maintainer of views_slideshow_menu. You can see my stated intention and the module maintainer's desire to bring me on board at the following issue: http://drupal.org/node/636114.

I love Drupal; I became a developer because of Drupal. I'm not new to contributing. I've contributed via the docs team, at the support list serve, worked on some core UI issues, and more. So while "giving back" to Drupal is not new to me, I've never helped in module maintenance. Now is the time!

One specific detail about the current situation at views_slideshow_menu... I sponsored the development. However, I did not pay for ongoing maintenance of the project and I really want to not burden @redndahead who did the initial coding at a very reasonable price. I want to make sure that the module is alive and building an audience so I want full access to the project.
