Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
I installed the module as described in the notes, but don't see it anywhere in in the Site Building menu:
Admininster > Site building > Subsites
If it matters, I also don't see it under User Management > Permissions.
Thanks!

davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedAre you using Drupal 5? Do you have a lot of other modules installed?
davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedBTW. Have you enabled the module on administer > Site building > modules?
DigitalWheelie CreditAttribution: DigitalWheelie commentedUsing Drupal 6.14, and yes, I have enabled the module.
I do have a couple of other modules (CCK, Zenophile, FCKeditor, Theme Editor, and Views), and, if it matters, it's a local install on a Mac.
Hope that helps.

davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedCan you try to uninstall and reinstall? Can you try to install it on an empty drupal installation and see if that works?
blavish CreditAttribution: blavish commentedI have the same problem. Not showing up in permissions as well
drupal 6.14
modules installed:
A lot!
blavish CreditAttribution: blavish commentedI do however see it here admin/build/subsites but not in permissions.
Also, last time I uninstalled the module it took my secondary links with it.
:)

davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedCould you both try on a fresh install? See how that works? Thx
What os are you on? Php version? Mamp or wamp or ...?
blavish CreditAttribution: blavish commentedI will try with new install quickly
Comment #9
davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedThis should be fine in the CVS version.

ldekay CreditAttribution: ldekay commentedI've been having the same problems (don't see subsites anywhere in in the Site Building menu:
Administer>Site building>... subsites is not there. I also don't see it under User Management>Permissions.)
I turned subsites back off in the Modules panel (it wasn't present in the Uninstall list) and deleted the folder from sites>all>modules, then confirmed it was removed from the Modules panel list. Reloaded the module to sites>all>modules and turned it back on in the Modules panel. Still nothing in Permissions or Administer>Site building> . Any other suggestions?
I'm using Drupal 6.14, Organic Groups and a fairly normal set of other modules (CKK, date/time, image cache, location, messaging, FCKEditor, Lightbox, IMCE, Views, Wysiwyg)
davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedCould anyone try this on a fresh installation? A clean drupal instlal with only subsites on? That will rule out all apache/mysql/... version related stuff.
ldekay CreditAttribution: ldekay commentedI installed Subsites on a NEW Drupal 6.14 install and it works just fine. I love the functionality; it will be awesome when I get it to work on our main site.
Are there any known conflicts with other modules that could prevent it working on our main site? In particular, my co-developer asked if it has been tested with Organic Groups? - Drupal 6.14, CKK, date/time, image cache, location, messaging, FCKEditor, Lightbox, IMCE, Views, Wysiwyg

DigitalWheelie CreditAttribution: DigitalWheelie commentedI don't have sufficient privileges to create another Drupal installation...
Will try one on my home machine.

bjornarneson CreditAttribution: bjornarneson commentedI have found that if I log in as uid=1, all the subsites UI is exposed as expected. When logged in as another administrative user, I don't see any UI in admin->build or in permissions.
davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedCorrect. You need the "administer subsites" permission to administer the subsites.
bjornarneson CreditAttribution: bjornarneson commentedThanks for the reply. Even when logged in as uid=1, I don't see any subsites-related permissions available at /admin/user/permissions. Like previous commenters, I'm using several other contrib modules. I suspect that there is a module conflict somewhere. I'll try to track down the offender today.
I'm using subsites 6.x-1.2.
bjornarneson CreditAttribution: bjornarneson commentedWith a fresh install of Drupal 6.14 and Subsites 6.x-1.2 installed (and no other contrib modules), I see no permissions available re: subsites administration. I'm logged in as uid=1.
[EDIT]: Same behavior with latest dev version of Subsites.

davyvdb CreditAttribution: davyvdb commentedTrue. This is fixed now in CVS. Should be in dev version soon.
