Is there any variables available that I can use in a block to display information relevant to the guestbook owner currently being viewed? Example I would like to display the username of the owner of the guestbook in a block or some other profile details?

In 2.x, the owner is the user account you are looking at. 1.x is pretty much discontinued in the meantime.
