I have submitted a patch in jan 2009 and it has been reviewed and tested by community for several months. In addition there are other patches and issues which has not moved several months now. Looks original creator is very busy and it seems the module is abandoned?

It's not abandoned - I have just returned from my honeymoon and had previously spent any free time in the the last few months on organized my wedding.

I should now have a little more free time for these projects. I'm planning on commiting the patches from the queue, some fixes I've done when I used this module on www.sportbusiness.com and finally get the module running on Drupal 7.
