I upgraded to Drupal 6 and it seems that the Glossary module is quite different for this version... or perhaps I have done something wrong.
In Drupal 6 the glossary module inserts a bunch of HTML code for each glossary link it creates. These links are then a permanent part of my page, and are not re-created if I modify and save the page. Removing specific glossary links using [no-glossary] is extremely difficult and painstaking. In Drupal 5 the Glossary module did not insert any HTML code on my pages and everything was so much more straightforward.
When I try to disable specific glossary links by using the [no-glossary] and [/no-glossary] tags, this does not work unless I first go into the HTML and remove all the HTML that the Glossary link creates. But even if I remove the glossary code from the HTML manually, if the [no-glossary] tags are within cursive or bold text, they usually don't work and the tag will often appear as text in the published content after saving... in short, removing glossary links are a real hassle, to the point where we are considering going back to Drupal 5, becuase we have a large site and almost every page contains several glossary terms, many of which I need to remove.
Is it normal for the Glossary module to insert this HTML code into my pages? It didn't do that before (in Drupal 5), and this seems like a major step back... I wonder if I have something wrong with my configuration?
Thanks!

westie CreditAttribution: westie commentedGlossary is putting the HTML into the nodes for me too. However this is only on QA & Production, my local dev it works fine.
So on local dev it works as expected:
BT
BT
HOWEVER, on production:
BT
<a class="glossary-term" href="/glossary/term/322"><acronym title="British Telecom">BT</acronym></a>
The input filter options are the same for local dev and production, check order etc...
