dave reidI don't how we could do this because we can not edit/remove patches because it was my understanding that there would be severe breakage with the test bot. If someone doesn't an attachment published, what's wrong with the webmasters unpublishing the comment and the user adding a new comment?
avpadernoThe problem is that the attachment is not deleted, and anybody would be able to download the attachment even after the comment is unpublished.
dave reidI want to test that theory.
Ok I guess that's true, but there is no longer a link to download it. Not sure exactly how people would find it.
avpadernoBrowsers keep a history of the URL visited; on the Mac, I can then see from which URL I downloaded a file.
I was just thinking that in some cases it could be useful to remove a file for any reason; I am not sure how many times that could be useful.
avpadernoI attached a screenshot of the information given about a file I downloaded (Mac OS X 10.5.7).

robby.smith commentedHello,
Is this still not possible at the moment?
I accidentally posted a wrong screengrab that shows personal information.
If possible, I would like that attachment removed from the post.
Regards
Comment #7
dave reid@robby.smith: No it is not. We can only unpublish or delete your post. You can e-mail me the link if you want to avoid posting it here.

avpadernoI tried to use comment_upload.module on my test site, but it doesn't work. I wanted to verify something, but I cannot; so I need to ask here: does the module have a permission that is checked to see if a user can remove an attachment added in a comment?
If the module doesn't use such permission, then this feature request can be possibly marked as .
avpadernoI looked at the module code, but I don't see any code that allows to a user with the right permission to remove an attachment from a comment.
I am marking this feature request as .
gregglesWell, we can just move it over and make it a feature request.
avpadernoThanks, greggles; I didn't think of this.
What the module should do is to show the list of attachments in the comment edit form in the same way it is done in the node edit form.
