Im testing gallery Drupal modules.

This Node Gallery seems very interesting for a project I have.

Im looking for this features:
- upload images via FTP
- any other bulk upload
- use third party storage to store images like Flickr or Picassa

This module has this features or can be extended using other modules to support FTP upload or external photo storage?

As of right now, there is no bulk upload method. There is a planned integration with a pre-existing bulk upload module, but that functionality has not been implemented yet.

You could try a Jalbum.net album integrated into Drupal - their software does bulk upload/captions/renaming/organizing/resizing and presents it all in very nice looking galleries with good looking skins. You can also customize the skin css easily to blend in with your drupal site. The only problem at the moment is integrating it in with drupal - the only way ive tried so far is the insertframe module which creates the Jalbum gallery in a frame.

I tried a shed load of gallery modules and found that to be the best for a photography website i was doing which organized around 600 pictures... it would be great if someone created a drupal module for proper integration. Despite this i still chose it - for bulk ftp upload one click and those 600 pictures were resized correctly, thumbnails created, multi level galleries created and whole lot uploaded to a folder on the ftp.

If i was doing the same tomorrow i would look at views/views slideshow/panels but i didn't know these modules back then!
