Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to query filters based on fields selected by current user in profile on the page load of Views. I would like filter results to show nodes that have taxonomy terms selected same as user to show (ie if user selected New York in profile, then all nodes tagged New York will show).

I would truly appreciate help in getting this to work.

You can for example write your own filter handler or use hook_views_pre_query to change some filter values. But i guess there could be a generic way to solve such stuff.

If anyone does code this generically, it could maybe be added as a feature for http://drupal.org/project/user_terms -- a node term filter that filters by the current user's terms.

This probably fits more accurately in the user_terms queue then; otherwise, the custom code is likely the best option. if someone wants to take on a patch, great, otherwise this has been sitting long enough that it's not likely to get done.
