I imagine that as part of Economist.com I will be patching lots of modules and would love to get co-maintainer status on some of those also. Especially in the areas of high performance and payment. At Economist.com we truly believe in being a part of the community. You can see that we have sponsored migrate and table wizard modules. I am working with Mike Ryan currently and hope to become a co-maintainer on migrate module at some point.
I have contributed a few patches to Drupal 7 core already.
I have in the pipeline a module that links to the inform.com data service. I need to run it through coder and provide simpletests before I pass it for review e.t.c. but it is 3/4 done.
I am talking at Paris Drupalcon, hopefully, http://paris2009.drupalcon.org/session/continuous-integration-and-drupal

avpadernoA note for who approves the CVS application: in http://drupal.org/node/455436 the OP requested to become co-maintainer, but the current maintainer has not accepted (he just replied that the requester should have a CVS account).
