IE6 compatibility

First of all, let me say thank you very much for this excellent theme. I consider it to be one of the most elegant public drupal themes around. I was planning to use the original version, but as it is no longer supported, I decided to have a go with the new one.

It seems to work fine in Google Chrome (my default browser), but when I open my test site in IE6, the primary links block which I have put on the left sidebar seems to get messed up. The spacing around the links increases and trees aren't being displayed as they should (icons for collapse/expand aren't correct).

Has anyone encountered this same issue and found a solution?
