messaging and notification is working well when sending mails to group members for a "node creation" event. In this case only the title line is needed.

When sending a mail as broadcast to all members of a group the mails body is lost.
I can see that header and footer of the mail is taken from "notifications digest".
The structure of the mail sent looks like:

<Header for digested notifications>
[UNDEFINED type = digest, method = mail, key = notifications-digest-lite-default]
- <original subject line of mail written>
<footer for digested notifications>

May be it has to do with this kind of error message?

I think this might be a duplicate of #736328: render the node more completely for [node-body] to better handle cck fields (and others).
