I am running Drupal 4.3.2 and the Import module 4.3.0 (the one from the downloads that makes feed items nodes.)
I installed everything according to the docs.
Dropped and readded new tables.
Enabled modules.
Commented out the line in my .htaccess.
Created and assigned taxonomy term to news item and news feed.
Added feeds.
Now that I have added feeds, they appear listed in the feeds admin page, but they don't get refreshed. (No articles are imported.) Plus, when I click on "administer" the page that is generaged has no information in it for the feed, and it just shows the publish/moderate options, the comments options, a blank title box, and a preview button.
I'm using the 4.3.x version.

(not verified) commentedI'm stuck in exactly the same place. Bummer.

(not verified) commentedTo elaborate, I get parsing errors when attempting to parse some RSS feeds, and others generate no parse error, but in all cases I get no items created. What's up? Is import module 4.3 incompatible with Drupal 4.3.2? Is there a version of import that's compatible with 4.3.2? 4.4?

Bèr Kessels commentedIn the new version for 4.4.0 thes problems should be fixed.
If you wish to backport this fix into the 4.3 branch please try to apply the attached fix.
If all works for you, i would be very pleased to receive a working copy of the files, so that I can fix them for 4.3 too. But for now I would advice to use the new 4.4.0 release.
The Cron function did not work, bug fixed now.
* Changed "FROM item" into "FROM {utem}"
* Changed "filter()" into "check_output()"
