How nice would it be for an amazon inline input filter? Instead of having to create amazon node types, you could insert the product image/price/link/asin/etc just using [amazon:asin] with the filter enabled. What do you think?

That's something I've been wanting to explore. I've also been looking into a CCK "Amazon" field where magical things happened when it was filled in. (I think I'll end up going with CCK for "proper" handling of it, and then an input filter that looks for any Amazon links and adds my affiliate ID if it's not already there).
