Someone posted a question in a forum that time based caching does not reset.
I had a look at the method in the class

     if ($lifespan = $this->options[$type . '_lifespan']) {
       $cutoff = time() - $lifespan;
     }
     else {

I think $cutoff have to be returned , and i tested it and it worked.
