If a user creates content in his section, but is not allowed to edit all content in his sections, the nodes won't show up on his profile tab. Neither does the create conten link show up here.

Only If I assign the permission "Edit all x-content-type content in assigned section the nodes get shown. I guess this is a bug.

The -- 'edit any TYPE content in assigned sections' permission is by design, for security, in the event that you do not want to give users the 'edit all TYPE content' permission.

You can only create content if you have the permission to 'create TYPE content', also for security.
