I'm using iSFR and a cumulus tags module

In Safari 4 beta and IE8 the background mask and the images are failing to cover the SWF objects.

Anyone see this and got a suggestion for fixing it?

I have tested this in IE8, IE7, IE6, Firefox 3, Safari 3, Safari 4 and Chrome. It appears that the problem relates only to webkit browsers, so Safari 3, Safari 4 and Chrome. I could not find fault with IE8.

The intended behaviour of lightbox2 is to hide the flash file while the lightbox is active on the screen. For whatever reason, this does not work under webkit, causing the issue. The solution we used (although not ideal) was to set the flash to wmode=opaque and use styles position: relative and z-index: 10 to make sure it was displayed behind lightbox's background overlay.

That interesting. It looks like MS have done an update on IE8 to correct this in the last 2 weeks as I'm not seeing the issue now or it might have been that I've moved to wmode=opaque because iSRF was displaying with a green background using transparent in SF. Then again there were other graphics where opaque was being used before. So I suspect it is an update to IE8.

I'll look into SF a bit more this week.

Took a while to get to this, but I looked at the site in Safari and wasn't able to reproduce the problem, even though the swf didn't have the wmode variable set. So closing for now. Feel free to re-open if it is still an issue.

I think I'm seeing this same issue in Chrome 6.0.472.63. It's working fine in IE8 8.0.6001.18702 and FF3 3.6.10.

If have a thumbnail image on a node that links to the full size image using rel="lightbox". On the same node, I also have a YouTube video embedded. When the lightbox comes up, the YouTube video is on top of the light box and it's content. It should be under it like it is in IE and FF.

The lightbox image is showing, but the loading throbber does not disappear in any browser, so there might be some other issue causing this.

Sorry to open this up again but I am getting this error too.

I have a youtube video on the same page as the lightbox images and when a user clicks to open an image, the youtube video is on top of the lightbox images - I am only just testing in Chrome 8.0.552.237 at the moment and can't seem to use z-index to fix it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

This has also been posted on a more recent post - http://drupal.org/node/1015036

Just thought I would update you guys - I have not managed to solve this using z-index so instead I used the LightVideo option for my video instead. Now there is no overlay as the video is currently hidden until a user clicks the button to open it.

This might help you if you want to use it:

I have solved it including "
" in flash content that I want to be transparent (under de lightbox content I mean).
