After added '#maxlength' => 10000, to the $element['wkt'] array, I got this:

Where exactly did you put the "'#maxlength' => 10000". See this patch.

If this is still bugging you, please provide full details on the view you have created, including any geo-related field(s) and filters you have used.

The code has changed a lot lately, so if we don't hear back from you and can't reproduce it, we'll assume it's fixed.
