Add token functionality, where appropriate, to the Contact Form.
To include:
- Adding token functionality to the auto-reply message for a contact category.
- Adding "Site information, E-mail address" token to Recipients
=== Original Issue, kept for historical reference ===
When a visitor submits a message via Drupal's core contact form, is it possible to include the original message (and subject) in the auto-reply email? So the visitor would receive an email from me with the contents of his/her message as a reminder.
Would I be able to access the message string through some variable and use it in the auto-reply form?
Thank you.
P.S. I know there is a "Send yourself a copy" option, but I would like to include my own message with the email.

dave reidThis is a feature requests, and they should never be critical. Also, feature requests can only be accepted for the latest version of Drupal, which is 7.x.
I'm not sure what you mean by the auto-reply e-mail, because the contact.module does not have any kind of auto-reply e-mail feature currently.

quietone commentedThe Contact Module was approved for removal in #3476879: [Policy] Move Contact module to contrib.
This is Postponed. The status is set according to two policies. The Remove a core extension and move it to a contributed project and the Extensions approved for removal policies.
The deprecation work is in #3520460: [meta] Tasks to deprecate the Contact module and the removal work in #3520466: [meta] Tasks to remove Contact module.
Contact will be moved to a contributed project after the Drupal 12.x branch is open.
