This is a patch contributed by Wim Leers for d.7 also needed for d.6. Hopefully it will get for the next 6.x release.

Yes, this is what you need, D6.9+ and FCKEditor 6.x-1.3-rc7--this will fix it! Don't waste your time searching elsewhere! This is the fix you need. I wish I'd found this hours ago!

I can also confirm that I was getting this error in 6.10, but this patch fixes the problem.
