In accordance to this topic I wondered if it's possible to set a teaser automatically (and its length), completed with a read-more-link.

why not add a node:nid field with link to node?

together with the teaser? this will be what you need.

this is not the same. The read more link only shows when the body is longer than the teaser. I asked for this last year and was told no.

nope. You gave me the impression that you weren't interested in the functionality due to performance issues.
