There currently is no place within the admin interface to enter the API key. It's pretty much essential for this to be available if Zemanta wants users of this module to use their own API key instead of this module developer's key. As an FYI, this module does store the API key within the database as a variable called "zemanta_api_key.

Rok Žlender commentedApi key is fetched when module is enabled and you get your won key for your site. I don't see any reason why you would need to edit zemanta_api_key variable.

pianomansam commentedIf the module is some supposed to automatically get my key via the API, it doesn't appear to have done that when I enable the module. The key stored in the database was different from the key provided to me by Zemanta.

andraz commentedThe trick is that you don't need to separately get the key from Zemanta - that keys are for developers working on their own integrations. Drupal module automatically assigns you an unique key that you can then claim from inside Zemanta preferences inside the Zemanta sidebar inside Drupal. :)
Hope this answers the question
