1.1.x

1.1.0
Description:

Content Builder 2.0 keeps only section types made on the Section types page in configuration. Defining section types as plugins in code is deprecated in 1.1.0 and removed from 2.0.0.

The following is deprecated:

- The plugin attribute `#[SectionType]`.
- The plugin interface `SectionTypeInterface` and class `SectionTypeBase`.
- The plugin manager service `plugin.manager.content_section_type`.
- The plugin hook `hook_content_section_type_alter()`.

Content Builder logs a deprecation notice when it finds a section type plugin attribute in code or an implementation of the plugin hook.

Before updating to 2.0, create each section type that you have as a deprecated SectionType plugin on the Section types page in the UI. Export it as configuration `content_builder.section_type.*`. Then remove the plugin class.

To load section types, use the `content_section_type` entity storage instead of the plugin manager.

To change a section type, change its configuration instead of altering its plugin definition.

Section type plugins get two new methods while they still exist: `getLockedLayoutSettings()` and `getLayoutSettingOptions()`. `SectionTypeBase` returns an empty array for both.
