Release notes
This bug-fix release starts analysis immediately after an upload or resume. A
normal browser upload no longer waits for automated cron or a separately
scheduled queue worker.
Changes:
- Upload and resume submissions now start Drupal's progressive Batch API in the
active browser request, processing the log in bounded steps with visible
progress.
- The durable database queue remains available for recovery if the browser
disconnects. Cron or `drush queue:run ip_analyser` continues from the saved
byte offset without double-counting completed chunks.
- Completion, failure, cancellation and deletion release the site-wide analysis
reservation and remove the matching queue item, preventing stale work from
being claimed later.
- User-facing and README guidance now distinguish immediate browser processing
from background recovery and retention cleanup.
- Kernel coverage verifies upload submission, batch registration, queue fallback,
completion and removal of the fallback item.
The parser, aggregate storage, privacy model, quotas and upload limit are
unchanged. This release adds no database schema update; existing reports and
queued jobs remain compatible.
Requirements: Drupal 10 or 11 and PHP 8.1 or later, subject to the installed
Drupal core version's PHP requirement.
Upgrade:
```
composer require 'drupal/ip_analyser:^1.0'
drush updatedb -y
drush cr
```
