Release notes
Added
- Commands in the assistant's chat. A message starting with
/looks something up at once, without waiting for the assistant:/search,/time,/rate,
/vat,/vatcheck,/distance,/place,/postal,/ip,/language,/translateand/help. Typing/lists them as
you type (arrows to choose, Enter or Tab to pick), and the new ? button in the chat explains each, with an example to click. A command written without what to look up answers with how to write it. - /translate. Translates a text into another language, written as it comes:
/translate en-es What is this?, or only the language to translate into (/translate es ...). A table of language
codes, with a search box, is in the ? list. Texts up to 10,000 characters by default (Characters of a text to translate on the Assistant tab). - Earlier messages on Arrow Up / Arrow Down, as in a terminal: Arrow Up brings back the visitor's previous messages of the conversation, Arrow Down goes forward, back to what was being written.
- A resizable chat window: a grip on its free top corner; the size is kept in the browser.
- Help page of Opensolr AI Search, with the assistant and its commands.
Changed
- The message box keeps the focus while the assistant answers (nothing can be typed until it is done), so the next question can be typed straight away.
- /language recognizes short and loosely written texts and shows the language's name.
- The New chat button sits on one line in the chat header.
Fixed
- Links written over two lines by the chat model were shown broken; they are joined again. Long words and links wrap inside the chat window, which no longer scrolls sideways.
