This just just an initial question to see if there's any planned/started/ongoing work around adding support for canvas pages and domain module. It's something we might need and didn't want to dive into it if there's already something out there.

I found https://www.drupal.org/project/domain_canvas but there has been no code added.

Nothing is planned in the domain project.

Looks like a dedicated contrib module, such as domain_canvas, is the best place to implement such a feature.
