Problem/Motivation
A disposable Drupal test-site installation with strict configuration schema checking fails while installing MCP Sentinel 2.23.1. The checker reports that mcp_sentinel.settings must specify a language code because it contains translatable values. The dashboard_broadcast.message schema uses the translatable label type, but the default settings do not declare langcode.
Steps to reproduce
Install MCP Sentinel 2.23.1 and its dependencies using Drupal’s test-site installer with strict schema checking enabled. Installation fails in ConfigSchemaChecker before the site is usable.
Proposed resolution
Add an isolated strict default-configuration regression and correct the default language metadata. Preserve the broadcast message’s translation semantics. Do not disable schema checking.
Remaining tasks
Reproduce in an isolated module test, implement the metadata correction, and verify supported Drupal/PHP versions.
User interface and API changes
None intended.
Data model changes
Default configuration language metadata only. No existing site records are changed by this proposal.

jmcerdaThe correction and strict-schema regression are ready for review in MR !5. The regression reproduces the failure before the change and passes on Drupal 10.6.17/PHP 8.3, 11.3.17/PHP 8.3 and 11.4.7/PHP 8.4 (one test, three assertions per run). Existing dependency deprecation notices remain visible; coding standards pass. CI is running.

jmcerdaCommitted to 1.x. Default settings now declare langcode so strict configuration validation accepts the translatable dashboard broadcast message. This ships in 2.23.2.
