Problem/Motivation

Raw payloads are correctly not stored and watchdog recipients are redacted, but the database retains full addresses and provider free-text descriptions. Cron is the only lifecycle tool; it cannot express per-recipient access/export or differentiated retention.

Evidence and scope

Reviewed 1.0.0-alpha1, source commit 02fd9d36af5237e712cecb7155d79725f7824880. Location: postmark_webhooks.install:41.

Observed data model. This is a product/data-minimization improvement, not a claim of a specific legal compliance failure.

Proposed resolution

Define the minimum evidence needed for suppression, assess dropping or sanitizing provider descriptions, and provide permission-controlled export/erasure operations. Make explicit whether a minimal suppression marker must remain so deleting history does not accidentally resume unwanted mail.

Acceptance criteria

Test permissions, audit records, export escaping and secret exclusion. Document how durable suppression and history erasure interact, including backups and operator policy; do not promise irreversible erasure of external systems.

Implementation is ready for review: permission-controlled, audited JSON export and confirmed history erasure in batches of 250. Minimal suppression state and audit records remain so erasing history cannot resume unwanted mail. New intake omits provider descriptions; a bounded update scrubs legacy descriptions and payloads. Backups, provider records and downloaded exports are explicitly outside this operation.

Drupal 10 and 11 tests cover access, streamed export escaping, Batch API erasure, concurrent intake boundaries, audit rollback and retained suppression. The complete six-job CI matrix passes. The operator forms were also checked at 375 pixels with keyboard navigation. This work is not yet integrated or released.

Integrated into the 1.x development branch and included in 1.0.0-alpha2. The release tag and branch are mirrored to Drupalcode. The six-job Drupal 10/11 and Mailer Plus integration matrix passes. See the release notes for database updates and retained-history limitations. This records module publication; site deployment is a separate operation.
