I want to move this project from the old style 8.x-1.x releases to new style 1.x.x releases.

To do this, d.o forces us to make the next release 2.0.0, not 1.5.0. (I just tried to make 1.5.0).

As we're making a new major release, we may as well drop D8/D9 compatibility at the same time. This won't involve any changes other than removing the stated compatibility.
