Problem/Motivation

Recent work added new keys to myrest.auth_settings (enforce_csrf, hash_algorithm) and myrest.log_settings. Existing installations have no update path, so their configuration is missing these keys and does not validate against the schema.

Proposed resolution

  • Add hook_update_N() implementations that set defaults for every newly introduced key.
  • Add an update that migrates MD5-based tokens to the configured secure algorithm where possible.
  • Add a post-update hook to rebuild the router after the routing changes.

Remaining tasks

Write update hooks and test them against a pre-update configuration snapshot.
