Problem/Motivation

Media Directories Browser is wonderful. Now that Drupal CMS is out and Canvas adoption grows fast, the user experience of Media Directories should also be available in Canvas Media selection.

Currently it doesn't seem to be supported

Steps to reproduce

Install https://www.drupal.org/project/canvas or Drupal CMS
Install Media Directories
Place a media in canvas - you see the regular media Browser, but no Media Directories Browser

Proposed resolution

Create a Media Directories Canvas Submodule that replaces the regular Media Browser in Canvas with Media Directories Browser, like for Media Entity Reference fields

Thank you for the suggestion.
Because the canvas is now even more mature and used on many sites already, this module must support it as well. I have committed a new submodule which switches the core media library with browser.

Local testing did not reveal any visible issues and tests were fine as well.

Manually tested and fixed smaller styling issues. No other issues found at the moment.
