Proposed resolution

  • Start a 9.2.x branch from the latest 9.1.x.
  • Set drupal/core to ~11.4 in the *.info.yml and composer.json files on the 9.2.x branch.
  • Drop support for Drupal ~10 on the 9.2.x branch.
  • Remove outdated and deprecated Drupal 10 code.

The varbase_search_test recipe provisions a Search API content index, a /search results page and a front-end search box block; the webship tests search from the front-end box as an anonymous visitor and assert the matching article, plus verify the provided Database server is enabled and uses the Database backend.
