Steps to reproduce

Run Smart Date 4.2.7 on a version of Drupal that doesn't yet support hook classes, and specifically the #[LegacyHook] attribute.

Proposed resolution

Define the service.

Same problem here upgrading from 4.2 to 4.3 on Drupal 10.6.17.
