Problem/Motivation

The initial version of this module was essentially a straight port of the functional code from Event Platform. Since it is meant to be used with the Event Platform Starter site template (which provides its own configuration and content) some things ported over such as install code is no longer needed.

Proposed resolution

Update the code to remove elements no longer needed.
