Problem/Motivation

As per #3579963: Support workspaces with component variants, we need to support the component_variant config entity type. Now that we have the schema approach and a member for contrib configs in there, we don't need to add it in that module any more but can do it right here.

Proposed resolution

Mark the corresponding configs as supported in the hook_config_schema_info_alter and add a test for it
