i cannot access the color picker in theme settings. i have read http://drupal.org/node/109457 and checked these settings and the color picker works with the garland theme, but it doesnt work with the fluid theme.

I'm trying to replicate the issue...
What modules do you have installed?
Is javascript enabled?
Do the following files appear in the html header:

/misc/jquery.js
jquery_update/compat.js
fluid/includes/theme-settings.js
fluid/includes/farbtastic.js
