We have some non-relevant search words being displayed on our page and wish to remove.

How does one achieve this?

The option to delete single items does not exist. This is a good idea for a new feature.
Meanwhile, you can go to your DB, and directly remove entries from top_searches table. erasing an item directly should not have any side effects.
