Problem/Motivation

The project is currently bundling an outdated version of Bootstrap JavaScript.
This limits access to bug fixes, performance improvements, and newer Bootstrap
features. It also causes a mismatch with projects that already rely on newer
Bootstrap versions via npm.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Build the project assets.
  2. Inspect the generated Bootstrap JavaScript file.
  3. Notice that an older Bootstrap version is included instead of the latest one.

Proposed resolution

Update Bootstrap JavaScript to the latest stable version and load it directly
from node_modules during the build process. Ensure existing
functionality continues to work as expected after the update.

Remaining tasks

  • Update Bootstrap JS dependency.
  • Adjust build configuration if needed.
  • Test existing components and interactions.

User interface changes

No intentional UI changes are expected. Minor behavior changes may occur due to
Bootstrap bug fixes.

API changes

None.
