Drupalcamp Florida 2026

Problem / Opportunity

Drupal Scuba is about bringing divers in the Drupal community together. There is increasing interest among community members in holding an in-person diving activity tied to events that are close to where we can dive together. Setting this up early would give people time to plan travel around the February conference season.

Proposal

I would like to explore hosting a Drupal Scuba meetup centred on a two-tank dive on February 19, 2026. Possible locations include:
• A Florida spring within reasonable distance of Orlando
• Jupiter, Florida
• West Palm Beach, Florida

Each option offers fairly reliable diving conditions in February and access to reputable dive operators that can support a group booking.

The meetup would include:
• A morning two-tank dive with a local charter or spring operator
• Optional lunch afterwards for further networking

This would be a community-driven, cost-share event. Attendees cover their own dive costs and gear.

What I am Looking For

• Feedback on preferred location
• Interest from other Drupal divers
• Suggestions on operators or charters you’ve worked with
• Any considerations for accessibility, safety, or scheduling

If there is enough interest, I’ll move forward with contacting operators and posting registration details.
