guys,
would you PLEASE add a simple slash between year and month on the monthly archives, if it's not too much to ask?
I mean, really: every system out there does this nice and easily - why can't Drupal do it as well? it's SEO 101!
and you cuold keep two options, YYYYMM and YYYY/MM.
look, I know I sound disgruntled, but really, given how many upgrades this module has been through, it's a shock this feature hasn't been implemented yet.
regards,
Luciano

neclimdulI don't feel comfortable changing urls on users like that. I wouldn't be against providing a second default view that supports this.
Are you looking to exactly match the functionality of the current view with the different url structure? I ask because the code doesn't currently support this and I'm not immediately sure how that would happen.
However providing simple drill down pages is incredibly easy. A page for months and then one for years, or a page for years and then a page for months. This would then fit the url structure you're looking for.

luco commentedhey,
Prometheus6 & me have developed together a module to handle this - in several different ways:
http://drupal.org/project/montharchive
he did all the programming; I funded the project with a symbolic amount and provided use cases for the most newbie Drupal users.

tessa bakkerHi Luciano,
Your module was a little bit too much in development stage for me, so after playing with some code I came with this solution.

(it's a dutch website so it's not a perfect English post)

luco commentedit's a nice contribution, thanks!
but what me & Earl aimed at was ease of use for Drupal noobies everywhere ;] plus it's just a module - there's no need to change TPLs or anything.
the module is being updated to provide per-user archiving, so check it out in a few days \o/
cheers
