Quick follow-up on this issue:

To include the latest round of merged code changes, the new stable release block_class 4.0.2 was created. 🥳

We started with a stack of open issues above 35, and managed to take it down below 10 now. 😅

A lot of refinements for the 4.0.x branch: 8 bugs fixed and 3 tasks 👍

  • Improved documentation: README, form labels, description texts, etc...
  • Fixed major issue with configuration dependencies (#3419337: Module creates invalid config dependencies).
  • Code clean-up: Refactoring of duplicated code, initialization of variables, compatibility with recent Drupal core versions, etc...

 
Overall, this new version should be a bit more stable and perhaps more user friendly, with the improvements to the fields labels, description texts or documentation in general.

Since at this point, all the work expected in this issue should have been completed and I don't really see any follow-up for now, I allowed myself to move this issue to Fixed.

Based on how the issues evolved in the queue, we should be able to create another ticket for the next release, when needed.
