is corrupted. I guess the part ". and insert additional information into the user object" is trash.

I think the sentence got separated from the "load" description. I hope this fixes it.

I fixed the doc in the contrib repository for Drupal 6.

The patch above is for D7. It should definitely be committed, and it applies fine for me.
