Problem/Motivation

Due to the release of Drupal 11, we would like to have this module supported in that version as well. Currently this module is not yet compatible with Drupal 11, the aim of this issue is to identify what needs to be updated and implement needed updates.

Proposed resolution

Review the code and configuration.
Update it to be D11 compatible.
Test.

@natemow The commit has been reverted as it is not a part of the ticket and the plugin should not be extended anyway. Use composition if needed.
