Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) I need to run, keep the threads going as needed

2️⃣ Celebrations :tada:

Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) Thanks @Kristen Pol (she/her) for running the meeting last week in my absence 🙂
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) Also, I had the chance to present the Drupal 11 deep dive sesssion again. Updated deck at https://slides.com/gaborhojtsy/drupal-11-deep-dive-what-s-new-how-to-pre... if anyone wants to do it at their event/meetup/company.

Kristen Pol (she/her) Thanks to you both  great stuff
Kristen Pol (she/her) Reviewed the deep dive slides  I still need to review the docs
Kristen Pol (she/her) I scanned the docs sections and one thing jumped at me @VladimirAus You have“Uninstall Upgrade Status”But the section afterwards has that used for custom codeDo you want to move that section down?
VladimirAus Done
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) Re the uninstall upgrade status, I recently made it compatible with Drupal 11, so people don't need to uninstall in the upgrade. It should not generally be kept on a live site, so best to remove either way, but not a requirement
VladimirAus Just updated the page comments. Will add (optional).

3️⃣ RC1 was originally planned for this week, what's the expected timeline?

Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) cc @catch maybe? 🙂
catch There are two upgrade path issues we should try to get done before the RC so it might end up the very end of the week.
xjm The beta2 meta should also be converted into an RC1 meta I think (edited)
xjm And we should check up on both that and uncategorized leftover cruft on the beta1 meta before we tag an RC

4️⃣ How can people help to get RC1 out? 🙂

xjm Help with things listed under the beta2 meta
xjm Especially the upgrade hooks issue
xjm (Apologies for the lack of links; on my phone ATM.)
benjifisher I think this is the issue: #3449815: [meta] Requirements for tagging 11.0.0-rc1
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) That is now retitled as RC1 requirements.
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) The two key things are #3108658: Handling update path divergence between 11.x and 10.x
Gábor Hojtsy (he/him) and #3378393: Hardcode security coverage EOL dates for Drupal 10.last-1 and 10.last
xjm That second one is more of a should have. We just need to get it done by 10.4 for sure.
xjm (To be clear, having it done now would be valuable, if someone has time to experiment with the testing. I promise that it just works, but it’s also something where you can’t really convince yourself that it just works until you do a bunch of testing. hopefully we will have better testing and less magic constant stuff the next time around.

Participants:
