HTMX has released 2.0.0:

NEWS: htmx 2.0 has been released! It is not currently marked as latest in NPM so that people using the 1.x line are not accidentally upgraded. We will mark 2.0 as latest at some point in 2025.

There is nothing that impacts work on our level in htmx 1.x → htmx 2.x Migration Guide but we should include a link in release notes.
Extensions now have their own repo (we ship the debug extension): https://github.com/bigskysoftware/htmx-extensions/tree/main
