In some cases it may just be a great thing if we could have an option that allowed us to disable the parent item.
So instead of:
-blog terms
--life
--universe
--everything
we could just have:
-life
-universe
-everything
Just a cleaner option for certain menus.

rcrowther commentedExpansion and hidden now work as Drupal intends. There is a lurking issue here, about link inheritance, in fact this brief set of posts contains several interesting issues, so I'm marking 'postponed' for now.

rcrowther commentedAnd I'd like to apologize to George. You took the time to write and submit a patch, and I did nothing about it. At the time I was working hard on something else. Which was not computer programming.
I'll try to pick up the issue queue a little more often. Also, if I post more, you will all know what is going on a little more (V3 was turning into V4 during Feb).
Again, my apologies.
